About Rachel

Rachel Reid is a violinist and recent graduate of Western Washington University, where she earned a Bachelor of Music in Performance under the instruction of Laura Camacho. During her time at Western, she performed with the Symphony Orchestra, served as Concertmaster for the Symphony’s Orchestra Festival, participated in String Sinfonia, and studied chamber music under Professor Grant Donnellan. Four years of experience performing in a dedicated string quartet fostered a lasting passion for chamber music and collaborative performance.

Rachel attended Tacoma School of the Arts for high school, where she performed in the school's premier string ensembles. She also studied with Gayane Grigoryan through the University of Puget Sound Community Music Program. As a teacher, Rachel believes that music is a lifelong journey and that students of any age can continue to learn, grow, and find joy through violin.

Rachel currently lives in Seattle, where she teaches lessons in the Seattle-Tacoma area.
